OVOS firmly believe that watching the quiz show Fifteen To One (Channel 4, weekdays, 4pm in the UK) is an essential part of achieving enlightenment / nirvana / inner peace / a lasting erection.
It is simply the perfect antidote to not-watching-it. Let us know if you agree !
Host William G. Stewart really is the most genial, credible & learned a quiz show host you're going to get, pope or no pope.

The trophies for the winner(s) of the Grand Final / top of the Finals Board are chosen by WGS himself, & are without exception rare & precious artefacts from ancient Rome, ancient Greece, & occasionally ancient other places.
Priceless, one might say. So, I hear you ask, how DOES a mild-mannered TV presenter come across such riches ?
Well, we know his secret ... & you can too.

A lot of people ask us, what can we learn from watching Fifteen To One ?
  • A little learning goes a long way.
  • Go with the first thing that comes into your head.
  • If you don't watch regularly you may be fooled into thinking that you have to be a genius to be good at 15-To-1
(well, it would help). Fortunately the questions repeat sufficiently often that the best method for success at 15-To-1
is simply to watch it repeatedly.
The questions come thick & fast and are often seemingly highbrow stuff (compared to most TV quizzes),
but on 15-To-1 (IF you play your cards right) you can often appear knowledgeable while relying on the most
superficial level of knowledge of any particular subject, and get away with knowing only the most universally-known
fact about any / every / all subjects imaginable. If the question asks "who/what/why etc.?" & you can only think of
one possible answer, GO WITH IT because more often than not you'll be right.
  • You can succeed by knowing only 'buzz-facts' about, say, the American Civil War without having a CLUE
who exactly won what exactly by fighting who & why they did it in the first place.
It is more a question of Cosmetic rather than General Knowledge.
  • You do learn SOME stuff by watching it, obviously.
  • On 15-To-1, as in life, you may get away with
    • talking without thinking
    • blind parrot-fashion repetition
when searching for answers to tricky questions.
  • If you ever take up betting on horses, you'll already be clued up to the max.

Other members of the WWW WGS cognoscenti include, in no particular order :
  • Will Jones, aiming to be the online authority on 15-To-1, who has produced a marvellous 15-To-1 site

  • Robert Clark, who has done some probing research & turned up a range of links shedding light on WGS's chequered past. There's a form too for you to tell him what you think of 15-1 / WGS. He also has a thing about echidnae.
    Visit Robert Clark's 15-To-1 page

  • Andrew Wiseman, who has recognised the divine teachings of 15-1 / WGS and produced a fine web page.
As well as some pictures and a brief WGS biography, it features a personal account of what it is like
to actually appear on the show.
